‘whether you can make words mean so many different things’ this is what caught my eye when i was selecting a reading for the bibliography as I kinda agree to this statement because words and sentences have so many diverse meaning yet them being unique in their own individual aspects. Architecture is all about expressing the idea and perceiving it, as Lewis Carroll talks about how people perceive the idea of architecture. ‘Parallel of ancient Architecture With The Modern’ written by French de Chambray says architectural art doesn’t exist in words but to make it a bit more clear Evelyn stated that its a combination of four things for example, as the overflow ideas, drawing skills, being knowledgeable and skilled in geometry but the author disagrees with his point of view. According to this writing there’s a great relationship between architecture and language as language is the base of understanding the concept if art as Tom Marcus stated due to the modern touch to our society no attention is paid towards as the audience thinks that its mostly the creativeness and thinking process. Laszlo Mohly-Nagy gave a great statement in one of his book ‘The New Vision (1928) which stated that language cannot provide the same rich experience of the things after which language fell under suspicions. The writer also relates ‘The Fashion System’ by Ronald Bartha with architecture making language the similarity in both cases. I agree with architecture being more complex than Barth’s model due various aspects as in the photography, codes and drawing techniques used but the main aspect remains still remains their command in language. Words and meaning are so interacted with each other which we can see clearly in historical terms. What we have been doing all these years is seeing work from peoples eyes in the past and trying to recover experience from it but to have a better understanding of the experience what could be done is to draw ur thoughts, photograph stuff and write the audiences review. In my opinion language contains its importance and remains the escape in itself. The last section of this writing talks about how vocabulary is being traded in all the European Languages and the words start losing their structures for example as lewis carroll ranks about how the word ‘Form’ in English won’t be the same in German and how the language trade in this book is another way of manifestation of ideas. He also talks about how translation is a great problem as we lose more than we gain anything in it because translating things can cause contraction. To conclude, i would like to talk about how language plays an important role in every work or department. The words we use help us to express our imagination, creativeness and ideas to our audience and how every thing can have diverse range of unique meanings to it and how we have to explain a certain idea in a certain way for the audience to perceive it in a way we want it.
